Education for Homeless Children and Youth

The Education for Homeless Children and Youth Program at the Champaign-Ford Regional Office of Education offers services to homeless children and youth primarily who are of school age. Pre-school aged children also receive services to ensure access to early childhood and pre-school programs.

Parkland Adult and Workforce Education Program

Offers free services, programs and instruction for adults who need to improve their basic literacy skills, do not have their high school diploma, or do not speak English as their first language. Classes and literacy services are available on Parkland‘s campus and at various locations throughout Parkland District #505.

Rantoul Adult Education Program

The Champaign and Ford Counties Regional Office of Education, in cooperation with Parkland College, houses the Adult Education Program for the Rantoul area. Following the guidelines set forth by the Illinois School Code, the Adult Education Program offers a variety of classes designed to help under-educated individuals increase their skill levels.

Urbana Adult Education Center

The program, which is offered through Urbana School District, offers classes for anyone over age 17 who is not enrolled in school. Classes include GED preparation and ESL (English as second language) training.
