American Community Survey 2005-2009: Race

The Hispanic and Latino population in Champaign County is the fastest growing, according to the 2005-2009 American Community Survey. 

Between 2000 and 2009, the Hispanic and Latino population increased an estimated 50 percent (see map below)

The slowest growing population is the white population, which increased an estimated 3 percent between 2000 and 2009.
