Retired and married for 59 years, Dave, 85, and Florene, 86, find themselves with endless amounts of time on their hands. From volunteering at church activities to dining with close friends to daily walking exercises, the couple continues to remain active within their community to "pass the time away," Florene said. However, on a calm, chilly Thursday, Dave and Florene Smith head over to Tumble Inn Tavern in downtown Champaign in place of their walking routine. Dave orders a Bud Light, and Florene orders a Sprite.
